Phnom Penh – The Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia (CAC) has expressed strong support for Turkey’s initiative to establish an export office in Cambodia aimed at facilitating the international trade of Cambodian cashews. Experts believe that this development will enhance the export flow in the cashew market once the office becomes operational.
Mr. Suy Kok Thean, Vice President of the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia , told BC News on February 10, 2025, that Turkish investors will officially inaugurate the KINGDOM HUB AGRO Representative Office on February 11. This office will focus on exporting Cambodian cashews to Turkish, European, and Middle East markets on a large scale.
While specific export figures from the Turkish investors were not disclosed, Mr. Kokthean highlighted that the interest shown by Turkish investors is a positive indicator for the Cambodian cashew sector in 2025. He noted that these investors are aware of the high quality of Cambodian cashews, which are being ordered at premium prices.
The introduction of Kingdom Hub Agro’s export office is the result of extensive research and development conducted by a working group, along with collaboration from relevant ministries and institutions. This effort has helped to identify and showcase Cambodia’s leading cashew and pepper producers and processing facilities, potentially transforming the landscape of the local cashew and pepper industry.
The establishment of this office is expected to play a significant role in connecting Cambodian agricultural products with international markets, thereby contributing to Cambodia’s goal of becoming a prominent exporter of agricultural goods. Additionally, this initiative represents a crucial step towards enhancing cross-border and industrial partnerships, ultimately supporting the vision of promoting Cambodia’s agricultural excellence on the global stage.
