Phnom Penh, June 27, 2025 — The Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression (CCF) Directorate-General under the Ministry of Commerce held a dissemination workshop on June 27, 2025, to promote awareness about the benefits of using the Cambodian Halal logo.
The workshop, scheduled to take place at the CCF headquarters, aims to inform business owners, stakeholders, and other interested parties about the significance of the Halal certification system in Cambodia. The session highlighted how the Cambodian Halal label can add value to products, ensure compliance with religious standards, and enhance market competitiveness both locally and internationally.
The Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia (CAC) has confirmed that it had sent 10 representatives to attend the event, reflecting strong interest from the agri-business sector in the expanding Halal market.
The CCF, which has recently restructured under its new name, plays a vital role in ensuring product and service quality in Cambodia. Its core responsibilities include protecting consumers, promoting fair competition, and preventing fraudulent practices to safeguard the well-being of the Cambodian people.
The workshop is part of broader efforts by the Ministry of Commerce to strengthen consumer trust, promote inclusive business practices, and support economic growth through quality assurance and ethical standards.
