Phnom Penh, June 13, 2025 — The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) is stepping up efforts to expand domestic markets for locally processed cashew nuts, also known as cashew kernels. As part of this initiative, the Ministry hosted a promotional meeting on June 13, 2025, focused on increasing the sale of Cambodian cashew products at Amazon cafés across the country.

The meeting, to be held at the Ministry of Commerce, aims to strengthen links between local producers and retail outlets, promoting greater visibility and consumer access to high-quality Cambodian cashew kernels. The move is part of a broader strategy to support value-added agricultural products and strengthen Cambodia’s domestic trade ecosystem.

In recent years, the MoC has facilitated the sale of processed cashew nuts through partnerships with Cambodian civil aviation, supermarkets, hotels, and the Cambodian Association of Chefs. These efforts are designed to create convenient and sustainable market channels for local producers, contributing to economic growth and rural development.
