In recognition of the substantial growth potential within the Cambodian cashew production sector, Egemen Kiran, Manager of Kingdom Hub Agro and an entrepreneur from Turkey, has established a representative office in Cambodia. The primary objective of this office is to facilitate connections between Cambodian cashew suppliers and potential buyers in Turkey and Europe, thereby enhancing the export of high-quality Cambodian cashew products to international markets.

During the opening ceremony held on February 11, Kiran remarked that his research had revealed Cambodia’s significant role as a supplier and exporter of cashew nuts. He highlighted the quality and flavor profile of Cambodian cashew nuts, asserting that their delightful taste and appealing appearance render them particularly attractive in international markets.

Through the establishment of this office in Cambodia, Kingdom Hub Agro aims to explore investment opportunities in the areas of cashew production, processing, and packaging, with the intention of adding value to the local industry and addressing the increasing global demand. Kiran further indicated that Turkish consumers have expressed substantial interest in processed cashew products from Cambodia, which underscores the potential for successful market expansion in the future.
Suy Kok Thean, vice president of the Cashew nut Association of Cambodia (CAC), is optimistic about the future of Cambodia’s cashew industry, which is projected to see annual productions soaring between 800,000 and 1 million tonnes. With robust government support focused on expanding and promoting the sector’s exports, the potential for growth seems promising.
He emphasized that the ongoing feasibility study on cashew exports to Turkey and Europe marks an important step towards diversifying markets and enhancing Cambodia’s share in the global cashew trade. This development hints at exciting opportunities on the horizon.

Moreover, Mr. Sok Chea, the Cambodian Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, expressed enthusiasm about the remarkable growth of Cambodia’s agricultural sector. He envisions that increasing cashew exports to Turkey and Europe will not only bolster bilateral trade but also elevate Cambodia’s standing in international markets.
Ms. Ulkul Kocaefe, the Ambassador of Turkey to Cambodia, shared her eagerness for the investments being made by Turkish entrepreneurs in Cambodia’s agricultural sector. She believes these initiatives will play a crucial role in expanding bilateral trade, particularly in agricultural products, and significantly boost Cambodia’s exports to Turkey in the near future.
